Description
Theatre in the Grove will soon be opening its 40th anniversary season with the hilarious Ken Ludwig farce, ‘Lend Me A Tenor´. Set in a Cleveland hotel in 1934, the play revolves around legendary opera tenor, Tito Merelli. Tito is scheduled to sing the lead in a gala fundraiser for the local opera company, but when his wife Maria mistakenly suspects an autograph seeker as his lover and leaves Tito chaos ensues. A distraught Tito mixes tranquilizers and alcohol and passes out. Saunders, the opera company´s general manager convinces Max to pose as Tito and take his place in the opera. Max succeeds but can they keep it a secret? Audiences of all ages will enjoy.
